Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and creative Growth Initiatives and Business Development Assistant Intern to support various growth-related initiatives at Bough Consulting. This 8-week internship involves supporting content creation, preparing interactive documents and presentations, coordinating testimonial videos, creating event or topic-focused business collaterals, researching trends, preparing original thought pieces, developing partnerships, identifying leads, and reaching out to potential clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent communication and presentation skills, and is eager to contribute to our growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Content creation support:
  • Assist in writing and editing blog posts, articles, and social media updates
  • Develop event or topic-focused business collaterals, such as brochures, flyers, and one-pagers
  • Create visual content, such as graphics and infographics, using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas
  • Ensure all content aligns with the company's voice, style, and branding guidelines
Testimonials coordination:
  • Coordinate and manage the collection of video testimonials from clients and partners
  • Edit and compile testimonial videos for use in marketing and promotional materials
  • Ensure testimonials are high-quality and align with our brand messaging
Research and thought leadership:
  • Conduct research on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities
  • Prepare original thought pieces and articles for publication on our website and other platforms
  • Ensure all content is well-researched, accurate, and provides value to our audience
Presentations and document preparation:
  • Prepare compelling presentations and documents for internal and external use
  • Create interactive documents and presentations to engage the reader
  • Use data visualization tools to create charts, graphs, and other visual aids
  • Present research findings and content ideas to the team
Partnerships and business development:
  • Assist in identifying and developing strategic partnerships that align with the company's growth objectives
  • Support outreach and communication efforts to potential partners and clients
  • Conduct lead generation activities, including researching potential clients and partners
  • Reach out to leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods
  • Set up meetings and follow up with leads to foster relationships and secure new business opportunities
Additional responsibilities:
  • Assist with the planning and execution of events and webinars
  • Provide administrative and strategic support as needed, including scheduling, coordinating meetings, and tracking project timelines
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the successful execution of growth strategies, offering creative input and feedback on initiatives
  • Take on any tasks necessary to ensure the company's growth
Qualification & Experience:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, MS PowerPoint) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles is a plus
  • Ability to visualize data and create compelling presentations
  • Interest in business development and partnerships
  • Comfortable with cold calling and email outreach
